This beginner class offers a basic introduction in clay construction
including hand-building, extruded work, slab building, pottery wheel, and a basic introduction to the process of working with clay. Students will create and assemble forms using the various techniques. There will also be discussions about finished projects as well as historical pieces that will include observations about aesthetics, form, and technique. Students will have 4-6 projects to take home.
