Film Classes

Let’s Make a TV Show

Film Making made fun and easy. This class allows students to explore their creative side, dust off their director’s chair, and create a short independent film with a style that is entirely their own. Using historic archives, photographs, and artifact, students will have the opportunity to develop their film from several local history stories, providing their own directorial vision. Under guidance from the instructor, they will learn how to storyboard a script for television, how to operate a high definition camera, work with a green screen background, how to make their directorial vision come alive, and learn the basics of acting for television. Students will film their production in the new television studio located off-site in the Elmer Gillespie building.
