NEW! Alcohol Ink Art Workshop
This one-day workshop will demonstrate how to use alcohol ink to produce a stunning 2-D composition. Students will use inks and glass to create an interesting framed piece of art and learn how to use materials and gain confidence with their future art endeavors. Students will have two framed, finished pieces to take home.
Paper Art 2D Compositions
This workshop is about creating a 2D composition from paper. Students will learn new paper art skills and take home their own framed piece of work. Colored paper can be rolled, looped, curled, twisted, and otherwise manipulated to create shapes which make up designs. Learn how to cut paper into interesting layers with foam core to create depth and a unique piece of art.
New! Clay Toad House
Make a sweet little home to invite toads or frogs into your garden spaces. Attracting a toad or a frog to your garden can help control pest and bugs. Class cost is per project so bring a companion and make a toad house together.
Participants will choose from several templates to hand-build house from clay. Personal touches can be added and houses will be painted. After the class date houses will be fired in the McKinney Center kiln.
Participants are encouraged to bring towels and/or work apron.
NEW! Pottery Glazing Techniques and Methods
This workshop will teach students several ways of applying glaze to create different effects and beautiful pottery. After a demonstration, each student will get a chance to practice with assistance from the instructor. Each student will leave their practice piece to be fired and pick it up at a later time.
Introduction to the Zentangle Method
The Zentangle Method of Art is an easy to learn art form that is FUN and RELAXING! Beautiful images can be created by drawing structured patterns. As you become engrossed in the process, your focus becomes, “zen” like and relaxed, resulting in individually unique masterpieces.
Renaissance Tiles: Zentangle Method
Take your Zentangle drawings to the next level in this intermediate workshop! Learn to draw with white ink and charcoal on Black Tiles. Must have taken an Intro to Zentangle class prior.
Jack-O-Lantern
During this one-day workshop, students will be able to explore their creative side by carving and designing their own personal clay pumpkins. All students will leave with a beautifully glazed fired and finished pumpkin to enjoy for years to come.
Glass Fusion Workshops: Pendants
A 2-hour glass fusion workshop making decorative glass pendants to wear or share. This hands-on session is designed for fun! Students will make up to eight pendants while learning the basics of fused glass. Students will have the chance to use frit, stingers, and dichroic glass to make unique creations!
Glass Fusion Workshops: Garden Stakes
A 2-hour glass fusion workshop making decorative glass stakes for your garden or house. Each student can make up to four.
Glass Fusion Workshops: 4 Part Plate
A two-hour glass fusion workshop that you will put 4 – 4x 4 pieces of glass together to make a picture or an abstract that makes one picture. It will look great on a table when it’s not being used. Examples of uses are candies, nuts, sauces or dips.
Glass Fusion Workshops: Folded Vase
A 2-hour glass fusion workshop where students will make a beautiful vase to showcase their spring flowers and impress their family and friends.

A 2-hour glass fusion workshop making a candy dish.
Glass Fusion Workshops: Christmas Ornaments
Whether you are an experienced glass fuser or have never been near a glass studio before, this workshop is a great opportunity to have fun with a group of people making fused glass ornaments. Students will have an opportunity to make up to eight ornaments using sheet glass, frit (crushed glass), pre-fired components, and more. All ornaments must be fired and will be available for pickup two weeks after class.
