Make A Difference

The McKinney Center at Booker T. Washington School is always seeking volunteers who are interested in donating their time, energy, and support to the arts in their community. Volunteering at the McKinney Center is a great opportunity for people who have a passion for arts to broaden their horizons and gain valuable experience by working alongside some of our region’s leading artists and arts educators. The arts program is housed in the historic Booker T. Washington School, and it is a valuable icon within our community. Volunteers will have the responsibility and honor of interpreting the history of the building as well as its present and future mission.

Join us each year as we host our Volunteer Appreciation dinner! When you’re a volunteer at the McKinney Center, we hope you are a part of our community. Each year we host a dinner to celebrate your hard work. We have a great evening of fun, fellowship, and a small awards ceremony.

Volunteer opportunities are many. If you are not sure in what capacity you want to volunteer, please contact Skye McFarland at 423.753-0562 or skyem@jonesboroughtn.org. We have opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities. You may also submit a volunteer application by clicking HERE.
