This class will explore several basic and experimental techniques for making black and white and color prints. Processes include linoleum block relief printing (using a special tool to carve into a thin sheet of linoleum), silkscreen (making stencils on silk stretched on a screen), stamping (making stamps with foam sheets and blocks), monotoype (painting on glass with printing inks), collagraphy (gluing materials onto cardboard), and more. No prior skill is needed. Instruction will include easy steps for creating original art images.
