I Made it Market
June 30, 2020 | 2 – 5pm
Location: Discovery Park
In honor of the spirit of Jonesborough Days, a patriotic festival celebrating not only our Nation’s heritage but also the town and people of Jonesborough, The McKinney Center wishes to acknowledge the community’s youngest creatives. The “I Made It Market”, a pop-up art market during the Jonesborough Days festivities, will stand as a vendor location for young artists and creative makers to sell their hand-made goods. On Saturday June 30th from 2-5pm at The Discovery Park, The McKinney Center will provide a table for the young entrepreneurs to offer a unique shopping experience to the festival’s attendees as well as help promote the local arts scene and celebrate youth arts education and involvement.
Participating vendors will need to provide a description and anticipated quantity of their made product of choice, some of which may include; original paintings or drawings, paracord crafts, hand drawn temporary tattoos, slime, friendship bracelets and many more handcrafted goods. No food will be allowed. Young makers and their guardians will be responsible for their own set up, clean up, and money management, including setting their own prices of their made merchandise. All earnings made at the “I Made It Market” will go to the vendor, teaching the young participants the value of their craft. If you know a young maker between 8-14 years of age that would be interested in partaking at the “I Made It Market” free of charge, please call the McKinney Center at 423.753.0562 or email Theresa Hammons at email@example.com to secure a spot at the table.
Help your community by fulfilling McKinney Center's mission.
