Halloween Haunts and Happenings Art Exhibit
Each year, Jonesborough’s Mary B. Martin Program for the Arts at the McKinney Center curates the Halloween Haunts and Happenings exhibition highlighting artwork by regional artists that is meant to give you the creeps! Brought together by the McKinney Center staff, this group of artists from across the region span a range of practices, including woodwork, sculpture, painting, photography, digital media, and more. Their interpretive expressions reflect the mood of the season.

Artists in the 2025 exhibition include: Amythyst Willis, Anna Koetter, Annabelle Trivette, Becca Burns, Brooke Roberts, Caitlin Lovin, Carol Ann Henderson, Christopher Paul, Dan Skalicky, Danielle Byington, Dawn Fernandez, Derek Murrell, Emily Cooper, Haley Hansen, Jarrod Stone, Jean G’Fellers, Jessica Villier, Jimmy Arbaugh, Jodi French-Burr, John McKitrick, Joyce Cirarello, Kara Bledsoe, Leanne Trivett, Leigh Bowman, Martha Blaser, Meghan Ortiz, Michelle O’Patrick-Ollis, Ryan Rushour, Sky Lee, Skye McFarland, Stephanie Grindstaff, Summer Buchanan, and Wayne Lawrence.

The exhibition is just one highlight of Jonesborough’s range of Halloween fun including the Halloween Trivia at the McKinney Center on October 23, 2026, 6-8pm, StoryTown Radio Show at the McKinney Center on October 26, 7pm, the downtown Halloween Haunts and Happenings event and Brews and Boos. Halloween is a special time in Tennessee’s Oldest Town and the McKinney Center is excited to include this dark art exhibition with curiosities, the macabre, and the grotesque.

The 2026 Halloween Haunts and Happenings Exhibition will be on view at the McKinney Center from Friday, October 9th, 2026, through November 7, 2026.
The reception for the exhibition will be held on Friday, October 9, 5-7pm. The artists will be on hand at the exhibit opening to answer questions from guests. The reception will include light refreshments. You may view the exhibit during regular hours Monday through Friday, 8:00am -5pm.
